Poland residence permit (MOS) photo requirements

This guide shows confirmed conditions and does not guess unspecified dimensions or file limits.

Preparing a face photo

What the official information confirms

A Poland residence permit application submitted via the MOS portal requires a digital face photo that the applicant attaches to the MOS portal. The confirmed conditions are shown below.

Uploading the photo does not replace the in-person biometric capture (fingerprints and passport presentation). The Poland Schengen visa (e-Konsulat, printed photo) is a separate route.

  • The official record confirms the digital photo contract: exactly 684 x 883 pixels (width x height).
  • File-size limit confirmed in the official record: within 2.5 MB.
  • 35 x 45 mm (width x height) is the officially stated proportion reference, not a print size requirement.
  • A colour photograph taken no earlier than 6 months before the application date.
  • The official MOS page does not state a file format or a background; no such value is registered in the Requirement record.

How unspecified conditions are handled

The phrase “passport-size” and general photo practice are not converted into a fixed value such as 35×45 mm. In the Tool, enter the dimensions shown by the current application guidance.

Using the web tool

  • Keep the application guidance available and enter the output type and dimensions you have confirmed.
  • No face guide is shown to fill in an official value that has not been confirmed.
  • After editing and review, confirm the accepted format and conditions in the application portal before submitting.
