• One photograph is required. This is doubly corroborated by Government Decree 35/2024. (II. 29.) Korm. rendelet §8(2)a ("A tartózkodási engedély iránti kérelemhez … mellékelni kell: a) egy darab igazolványképet") and the OIF factsheet: "Attaching/enclosing 1 facial photograph to/with the application is required."
• The authority publishes no photo dimensions in millimetres, no background colour, and no recency period. Neither the decree text nor the OIF factsheet (EN/HU) states them, and this page keeps them unregistered. Third-party claims such as "two 35×45 mm photos" contradict the official count of one and are not adopted.
• For paper / in-person applications, one photograph is enclosed with the application. Via Enter Hungary (EH) the face photo can be uploaded, and admission is conditioned on the fee being paid and the facial photograph, fingerprint, and signature specimen being recorded within 15 days (factsheet verbatim) — this on-site biometric recording is a separate step from the attached photograph.
