- The WHP document line requires an ICAO-compliant biometric photo; the size is anchored to the same authority (Austrian Embassy Tokyo) publicly defining the ICAO format as "Farbe, 35x45 mm": 35 x 45 mm (width x height), colour.
- The required number of photos is 1 photo ("ein aktuelles Passbild im ICAO-Format").
- A blue background is not allowed ("kein blauer Hintergrund"). The officially permitted background colour is not specified.
- A neutral facial expression is officially required.
- Recency is given only as "aktuell" (current), with no month figure. Face geometry, DPI, and pixels are absent from all reviewed official pages.
