The Requirement record is the source of truth; unspecified values are not filled in.
- The official standard page requires the photo to be 40 x 60 mm (width x height) (verbatim "40 x 60 mm"). Because the authority site blocks direct access, the source was verified through a Wayback Machine snapshot (taken 2025-12-12).
- At least 3 identical photos are required (verbatim "ne mažiau kaip 3 identiškas nuotraukas" — depending on the document type).
- The photos must be presented on one sheet (verbatim "Nuotraukos turi būti pateikiamos viename lape."). Arranging them on the sheet and cutting them out as 35×45 mm rectangles remain the applicant's own actions. This tool only outputs the 40×60 mm print photo sheets and does not print cutting marks.
- The photos must be taken and arranged so they can be cut from the sheet as 35×45 mm rectangles (verbatim "iškirpti iš lapo 35 x 45 mm stačiakampiais"). This 35×45 mm cut-out area is a separate basis from the 40×60 mm photo size and is not converted into other standards.
- The background must be very light, monochrome and even, with no shadows. The official wording does not pin a single colour (verbatim "labai šviesus, vienspalvis ir tolygus").
- The official face composition (chin-to-crown 31–35 mm, 70–80% of the photo height, and so on) is a range-only rule based on the 35×45 mm cut-out area, so this tool does not convert it into a numeric face guide. For documents issued with laser engraving (including the residence permit) a non-colour photo is recommended, and taking the photo within the last six months is also a recommendation (neither is mandatory).
